Hey guys!
Happy New Years! I can't believe it's 2011. I still feel like I'm adjusting to 2010! Did any of you make New Years resolutions? I guess mine is to be more organized with school and get less distracted while studying.
I wanted to review a product that I've been using for a while, but I think it's not really well-known. It's from the company FX Special Effects. I found it at a drugstore a year or 2 ago, and I just picked it up randomly. I have been obsessed with it ever since!
It is the Tangle Out Instant Conditioning Silk Detangler Spray. As suggested by the title, it is a detangler. Everyone with medium to long hair gets tangles, don't deny it! I usually get them after the shower. After I wash my hair, I wrap it up in a towel, and when I take it out, it's really hard to comb/brush through it without hitting a tangle. When that happens, you can do several things. You can try to brush through it, which is painful and bad for your hair. You can try to break it apart with your fingers, which is time consuming and, once again, bad for your hair. Or, you can use a detangling spray. I used to have very unruly hair (as in it used to knot up no matter what hairstyle I had unless it was braided, and it would take me maybe 30 minutes every night to fix it. In the mornings, it would take me so long to brush it that I didn't have time to do it at home before school; I would have to spend the better part of my 20-minute car ride to school brushing it each morning). I have tried so many detanglers, and each would eventually get the job done, but it still hurt a little bit and I usually would have to finish it with my hands. Well, I have started using this spray and I love it! When I'm ready to brush through my hair, I just spray this all over and brush. I don't even feel the knots being untangled, even though I know they are there and are, in fact, being taken apart. It's easy, painless, and quick. Not to mention it doesn't leave your hair feeling or looking greasy all day like some detanglers do.
I don't have the exact price, but I'm pretty sure that where I bought it, it was under $10. So, basically it's a good product that isn't very expensive compared to other detanglers. I highly recommend this to anyone who ever needs to get a knot out of their hair! They also have a Silk Milk Detangler that is really good too.
They probably sell this at any drugstore where they sell a lot of hair products. I know my drugstore has recently been selling some pretty high-end shampoos and conditioners. They now carry Redken, Fekkai, Rusk, CHI, and a lot of other brands you used to only be able to buy at beauty stores and salons. Does every drugstore now do that? I thought it was pretty cool. Although they don't sell the Redken All Soft shampoos or conditioners, which is kind of the main one.
Anyways! Have a great new year, and until next time, bye!

My Lush Hand Routine
Hey guys!
First off, happy New Years Eve :) Are you guys excited for the New Years? Are you going to any parties tonight?
Anyways, so I just recently did a post on moisturizers from Bath and Body Works. Now I want to do a post on my moisturizing/exfoliating routine for my hands, and what is good and bad about the products I use.
As I mentioned before, I really can't stand it when my hands get dry. I know a lot of people don't have a hand routine, but you can do this just any time you want your hands to feel nice. You don't even have to use it on your hands, you could do this on your legs right after you shave or anywhere you just want to feel softer.
All 3 of the products that I use for this routine, I purchased at Lush Cosmetics. I will just talk briefly about the products and then about what I do with them.
The first product I use is their Ocean Salt Cleanser. It says on the tub that it is a facial and body scrub, but I do not recommend that you use it for your face unless you have very dry skin, and you are gentle when using it. It has big chunks of salt in it, which act as the exfoliator (is that a word? My spell check says it's not...weird). These are very abrasive, and after trying it on my face (gently!) several times, I was always left with light pink scrapes all over my face. So, unless you need something abrasive, you shouldn't use it on your face. But this product isn't just salt; it also has grapefruit, lime, coconut, and a bunch of other things too. Also, before I forget, everything from Lush is natural. No artificial anything. All products even tell you if they are vegan or vegetarian (I myself am vegetarian!).
Back to the products! The second product I use is the Dream Cream Body Lotion. This isn't a necessary part of this routine. This moisturizes and repairs any blemishes or irritations on your skin. I use it because I have very sensitive skin (weird, because I don't tan!), so the Ocean Salt sometimes scratches my skin a bit. Also, I use it just because I get a lot of scratches on my hands in general. You can use it if you just want extra moisturized hands, or if you have sensitive hands like mine, but you don't really have to.
The last product in this routine is the Karma Kream Body Lotion. This kind of adds a finishing touch of moisture, and it also adds a really nice scent. It's hard to say what it smells like, but it definitely leaves your hands smelling nice and clean, in a way. There isn't much to say about this product except that it is a really good moisturizer. This is the product that really completes the routine!
Ok, so those are all of the products. Now about the actual routine. So, first I run my hands under warm water. I pat them dry, but not completely dry. Then, I take a tiny amount of Ocean Salt (about enough to cover my thumbprint). This is more than it appears to be! I rub it lightly all over my hands, focusing on my palms and in between my fingers. Afterward, I run it under the same warm water as I did before, and I make sure to get rid of all of the little bits of the salt. Then, I dry them completely. Then, I take a really, really small amount of the Dream Cream and I rub it all over my hands. I let my skin soak that up before I put on the last item. After my hands have dried up the Dream Cream, I put on the Karma Kream (once again, only a small amount!). I let my skin soak that up, and then I'm done! You should be amazed at how soft your skin feels. Or at least, I do and so do my friends when I do it for them! :)
The only thing bad I have to say about this routine is that while your hands do feel really soft after you use it, it lasts only maybe 1/2 an hour to 1 hour. It does make your hands feel soft after that, but not nearly as soft.
The last thing I have to say before I go is that Lush products last forever! Or at least longer than you would think judging by the size of the product. The Ocean Salt comes in a small size (4.2 oz) and a big size (8.8 oz). I have the small size that I got about 4-5 months ago, and I've been using it once or twice a week every week and I'm about half way done with it!
So, I know this is a really long post, but I hope you guys got something out of it!
Happy New Years :)

Bath & Body Works Hand Lotions
Hey guys!I wanted to do a quick post on some Bath & Body Works products. I never really thought much of the store, but a little over a month ago I decided to go in and take a look around. I instantly became obsessed! I have recently come back several times, and now I wanted to do a review on two of my favorite products from them.
Let me start out by saying that my favorite scent from them is Moonlight Path. It doesn't smell like anything that I would be able to say, "Oh, it smells like flowers" or "It smells like my grandma's face" or something. It just smells...amazing!Anyways, the two products I wanted to review today are both hand lotions. One is the Shea Cashmere Hand Cream. I have been using it almost every day since I purchased it. Also, a couple days after I got it, I got a really bad case of excema (I probably misspelled that) all over my knuckles and fingers, it was weird. It made my hands really itchy and, I know this is kind of gross, but it even made them spontaneously bleed at times. However, I used this product on the affected areas and it made it feel a lot better. I know that's not the purpose of this lotion, but it really did help! I've been carrying this lotion in my bag everywhere I go and I absolutely love it. Also, I think they are having a sale on this for a little while, so go check it out! It's usually $10, but now I think it is only $5.
The second product I wanted to talk about is the HandiBac™ Moisturizing Hand Lotion. I'm really OCD about some things. My hands always need to be clean, no matter what. I always use hand sanitizer before eating, touching my face, after touching a door handle or cabinet handle, or any time my hands just don't feel clean. I also get really anxious when my hands are dry. You know that feeling when you touch something and your hands just feel really gross and dry and...I don't really know how to describe it, but I think you guys know what I'm talking about. Anyways, I saw this at the store and I instantly fell in love. It was as if I found my soul product.... Anyways! I got it in two scents; dancing waters and white citrus. Let me just say that this does not moisturize nearly as well as the Shea Cashmere Hand Cream, but this is expected because moisturizing is not it's main function. However, you definitely can feel your hands getting softer (and cleaner!) every time you use it. I recommend this product! This is also on sale too. It's usually $4 (which is already really cheap), but now it's only $2! So go check that out!Anyways, this is getting pretty long. Hope I convinced you to buy this!
Bye!

Jergens Natural Glow - Review
Hey guys!
So I wanted to do my first product review. Let me just start out by saying that this is my first review, so it isn't even possible for me to be paid for this review. I doubt that anyone would even think that I was being paid for it because I don't think anybody even knows who I am at this point, but I'm just saying just in case!
Anyways, on with the review. So I'm reviewing the Jergens Natural Glow Daily Moisturizer today. This product is a self tanning moisturizer that you put on your body every day and it's supposed to gradually make you look tan after 7 days, and after that you just keep putting it on and you stay that shade. They also have one that you put on your face that I tried, called Healthy Complexion Daily Facial Moisturizer. You can buy these products at any drugstore. I just got mine at Ulta.
I did not like this product...at all. I heard about this product from several beauty gurus that I trust who raved about it. I am a very pale person and I do not tan very easily at all. I could lie on the beach for hours every day and not change one bit. So, I was really eager to try this lotion! I tried it once over the summer, but the only real place I saw any change was on my arms. I stopped using it and I recently turned back to it because I just came back from the beach, and I wanted to look like I really got some sun during winter vacation! Well, I've been putting the lotion all over my body and all over my face once a day every day, for exactly 5 days (ending yesterday). Well, this morning I woke up, went into the bathroom to wash my face and when I saw my face, I was instantly shocked. My face was absolutely ORANGE! And not only was it orange, but it was completely uneven. There is a random pale white line right under my lip, and my face looks really splotchy. I had to run down to CVS for something, and I was so embarrassed that I covered up my entire face in a scarf and made sure nobody could see me. I tried to scrub my face and it did not come off. It wasn't even that I used lotion for much darker skin tones, I used the lightest one (fair to medium skin tones).Anyways, this is my two-cents on this product. It may work for you, as it did for those gurus who reviewed it, but this is just my opinion.
Until next time, bye!

My first post!
Hey guys!
This is my first blog post, so let me introduce myself.
My name is Bailey, and I am planning on making blog posts about beauty and fashion products and such. Kind of like a YouTube beauty guru, only a blog version. The reason I'm not making a YouTube account is because I hear it takes a lot of time. I follow a lot of beauty gurus from YouTube on Twitter, and I see that it can take hours and hours out of their day. I don't really have time for that stuff. I go to school, I have a lot of extra-curricular activities, homework...I feel like sticking to blogs for now, but maybe in the future, if this really takes off, I might make a YouTube account.
Anyways, so I will probably mainly be posting reviews and maybe tips for beauty and fashion and even just regular, daily life.
So keep an eye out for that and I will post new stuff soon!
Bye!
Bailey
